Yvonne Fritz, Psy.D.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Campbell University in 2011 and received my master’s and PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. My training opportunities brought me to Texas, where I completed my clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship. I am currently licensed as a psychologist in Texas and Nevada.
I enjoy providing psychotherapy and psychological assessments for individuals across the lifespan, couples, and families challenged with various mental health conditions and other concerns. My pre- and post-doctoral training experiences included treating and working with clients across the life span struggling with mood disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder), behavioral disorders (e.g., Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), parenting struggles, anger management, and communication difficulties. I am passionate about my work with children and families struggling with behavioral difficulties (i.e., defiance, maladaptive behaviors, attention and concentration difficulties, etc.).
I primarily work from a cognitive-behavioral foundation. I also use components from other approaches to best meet the needs of my patients. Throughout all my clinical work, I use an approach that "you are your own expert," and I am there to provide guidance and help in reaching your goals.
I also provide psychological assessments for a variety of concerns and referral questions, including emotional difficulties, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and learning disabilities.
Outside of her clinical interests, I also enjoy spending time with her family, cooking and baking, reading, and having one-person concerts in her car.
